We are proud to introduce the 2019 Simmer Style SCR,  our pro racing sail.

The design objectives that Simmer Chief Sail Design, Tomas Persson and the R&D team set up was to improve the power delivery, create more forward pull while keeping the stability and wind range. Another objective was to reduce the weight and minimize stretching inside of the cutline. The result of the following improvements are a sail which is proven faster, planes earlier and delivers much better stability in overpowered conditions. We are proud to present to you the next generation and the next level of SCR - Simmer Competition Race. NEW BATTEN CONSTRUCTION  // The new SX SUPERTUBE batten is a revolutionary development which creates a more precise controlled sail profile and radically improves the sail dynamics.  Designed with the same technique as our top performing SX masts. The SX Supertube batten is designed to create the perfect harmonic curve. The progressive material lay up of the batten controls the stiffness throughout the curve, starting with a softer fiberglass rod in the front, leading into a fiberglass tube then gradually shifting into 50% carbon then a 100% carbon tubing in the back.  With the SX SUPERTUBE batten we can lock the center of effort  further back without loosing control over the stability.VERTICAL SHAPING LUFF PANEL //  Distributes the load inside of the cutline into a larger area of the sail when more downhaul is added, increasing durability and reducing stretch in this critical area of the sail. Adds stability and locks in the center of effort in the sail. REDUCED WEIGHT //  Reduced weight on panel layout and battens.   SPEED SPECIFIC SIZES // 5.0 are 5.4 speed specific sizes featuring 8 battens. INCREASED TWIST // Increased  twist around batten 4 and 5 to create a lower centre of effort. MONOFILM BATTEN POCKETS //  Radically reduces the weight.
