FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Blue: full X-Ply – 5 mil biaxial luff and foot panels, 4 mil biax window panels, 3.5 mil biax leech panels, 2 mil upper body panels
  • Orange: 5 mil biaxial luff and foot panels, 5 mil mono window and 4 mil mono body panels
  • Tubed batten systems – control in the upper end

SWITCHBLADE 2019 3-CAM PERFORMANCE FREERACE

New curves have been worked into the Switchblade 2019 to fundamentally improve performance over the successful 2018 design. Updated luff curves and modified vertical and horizontal shaping combine to take Switchblade performance a step further. Renowned for having the widest range of its class, the Switchblade transforms from low-end powerhouse into a top-end racing weapon thanks to its broad tuning band. "Peak performance for all," declared the Planchemag 2018 Switchblade test headline.

SPEEDBLADE 2019 NO-COMPROMISE SPEEDSAILING

The Loftsails Speedblade: dedicated high-velocity designs that have broken the "50 knot barrier". Previous Loftsails Speedblades have won events such as the prestigious Luderitz Canal Challenge in Namibia. The Speedblades are developed with speedsailing legend Erik Beale: the Loftsails Speed Team and Speed Product Manager. Similar to the Racingblade in design concept, the Speedblade 2019 has one and a half more battens, a modified foot, and is tuned with more leech release. Suitable for high wind downwind courses typical for speed sailing.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Internal vertical and horizontal Kevlar strip applications at cams – defines profile and augments stability
  • Blade mast pocket construction features mast panel and 2 mil triax X-Ply mast pocket sides (3 layers) tensioned directly (all 3 layers under tack pulley webbings) – downhaul tension is equalized between the mast panel and the mast pocket resulting in the Speedblade’s firm, clean, easy-rotating leading edge
  • 4 mil Dimension Polyant monofilm body panels – proven superior performance
  • Tubed battens with varying carbon content. Top 3 specialized 100% carbon tubes – carbon tubes are lightweight and deliver superior stability for your upper end
  • Unique SDM and RDM mast compatibility. Tekcam2 Large (installed) and Reduced (in sailbag) included with all sizes
  • Metallic cam interfaces – MCIs eliminate contact point degradation characteristic of cam designs without MCIs
  • X-ply batten pockets that alternate sail sides... using similar material for the batten pocket as the body material minimizes the asymmetric character of applied batten pockets. Pockets made with laminates allow the batten to be centered. These features combine to maintain rotation symmetry. In contrast, same-side dacron pockets promote asymmetrical rotation
  • Neoprene boom cutout with dual zippers – the rig is streamlined for improved speeds
  • Super durable full IYU250 4-part mast pocket construction – the perfect material between your mast and the elements
  • Trim diamond - leech-release reference: dial into your sailing conditions

SKYBLADE 2019 DEDICATED COURSE RACE FOIL SAIL

Windfoil race dedication: 7 battens, 4 cams, two sizes - 8.6 and 9.4. The Skyblade contrasts with the Racingblade in one important way: downforce. Greater downforce allows better control of foil lift.

RACEBOARDBLADE 2019 PURE RACEBOARD COMPETITION

Loftsails Raceboardblade 9.5 LW powers Joao Rodrigues to 2018 Raceboard World Championship victory, with Curro Manchon - also using a Loftsails Raceboardblade 9.5 LW - in second place! These latest results add to previous Raceboard blade World Championships victories for Fernando Martinez and Alex Buchau, proving again that Raceboardblade has the performance to lead the fleet!
